DALLAS (SMU) – Julissa Cisneros and
Courtney Sebazco of the No. 15 SMU women's soccer team each scored in the second half on Thursday night against Stephen F. Austin, leading the Mustangs to a 2-0 shutout victory at Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium.
Cisneros got the Mustangs (3-0-1) on the board in the 60
th minute, firing a shot into the lower-right corner past SFA goalkeeper Lydia Sattler. Sebazco and
Sammy Nieves set up the score, awarding Cisneros an open look along the left side of the box. It was the second goal of the season for Cisneros.
Sebazco, a member of the Hermann Trophy Watch List, converted a penalty kick in the 82
nd minute. The opportunity was created when Sebazco was tripped while splitting a double team. She has two goals and two assists on the season.
Mustang goalkeeper
Samantha Estrada played all 90 minutes in the net, recording four saves and a clean sheet as SMU earned a second-straight shutout.
