WILMINGTON, N.C. (SMU) – SMU women's golf finished in 11
th on the final day of the Landfall Tradition from Country Club of Landfall's Dye Course.
The Mustangs came into the final day sitting in a tie for 13
th among the 18-team field. The Mustangs racked up the birdies early to vault up the leaderboard. SMU finished the day at three-under, their best round performance of the tournament. With their final round 285, the Mustangs finished the event at 10-over par, good for 11
th place. SMU excelled on the par 5s throughout the tournament, shooting 13-below while playing par five holes, third best among the field.
Mackenzie Lee moved up 17 spots on the leaderboard during the final round. She started five-under for the day through her first nine holes. She finished the day at three-under with a 69, good for a share of 38
th place.
Tess Davenport finished one shot back of Lee with a two-over performance over the three days. She shot one-under during the final round to finish in a tie for 44
th.

Ellie Szeryk wrapped up play at three under after shooting a 73 on Sunday. Szeryk carded a two-under 70 on the first day of the event.
June Song carded a 74 in round three to finish the tournament at 6-over par. Song took home a share of 60
th place.
Ashley Chow finished the tournament in a tie for 77th. She made her impact on the par 5s, shooting five under on par 5s throughout the week, tied for fourth best in the field.
The Mustangs now go on winter break but the team returns to the course for the Collegiate Invitational from Guadalajara Feb. 2-3.
