DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Women's Golf Head Coach Lauren Mason has officially announced the signing of transfer Maelynn Kim. 

The Katy, Texas, native spent the last three seasons at Houston where she competed in 30 events for the Cougars, totaling 88 rounds. This past season, Kim was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team and a 2026 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team selection.

As a junior, she logged three top 3 finishes and four top 4 results, while ending the year tied for the team lead with 19 rounds of par or lower and a 72.53 scoring average.

In 2025, Kim won the Western and Southern Amateur Champion as well as a 2025 US Amateur Championship Qualifier.
