DALLAS, Texas (SMU) -- Seven Mustangs will kick off their indoor track and field season with an early December meet in Boston on Saturday. Head Coach A'Havahla Haynes said the athletes are looking to build off their success in the cross country season through this early season meet. 

"We are looking to take our strength from the cross country season to the track," Haynes said. "The goal is to match or better track performances from 2023." 

The travel squad will consist of Faustine Chaboche, Kaitlyn Gearin, Macey Hilton, Leoni Mierswa, Kendall Saeger and Flora Tissier competing in the 3k and Maddie Hulcy racing in the 5k. These athletes are coming off a successful cross country season, which ended with a sixth place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship last month.

The 3k will take place at 1:55 p.m. and the 5k will begin at 4:25 p.m. locally in Boston.
