Results 

SMU finished the final day of the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships with 56 points – placing the Mustangs in eighth place.  

Leoni Mierswa earned herself a silver medal in the 1,500 with a new personal best time of 4:23.04 -- picking up eight points for the Mustangs. Macey Hilton placed tenth with a time of 4:36.36. The pair also qualified for the 800 finals where Hilton scored seventh and Mierswa scored eighth, picking up more points for SMU. 

Maykayla Jackson picked up three points for the Mustangs in the triple jump with a jump of 12.53 meters for a sixth-place finish. Hedda Kvalvag placed 12th. Olivia Dobson was also back in action today in the high jump, placing 12th with 1.63 meters. 

Freshman Nea Sanders placed seventh in the 100 meter hurdles – giving the Mustangs two points with her time of 1:01.48. 

Kaitlyn Gearin earned her second silver medal of the weekend in the 5k with a time of 16:47.22. Senior Maddie Hulcy narrowly missed a scoring placement coming in ninth with 17:20.19. Kendall Saeger placed 15th with 17:38.25. Nikoleta Rafailaki and Jessie Crowley placed 21st and 23rd both running personal best times. Lior Kremer placed 24th.  

The SMU relays also put points on the board with the 4x100 composed of Raelyn Roberson, Sanders, Jackson and K'Nyah Isaac running 46.23 for sixth. The 4x400 with Camryn McPhaul, Isaac, Sanders and Whitney Williams ran a time of 3:42.04 for fifth. 

Next up on the schedule for SMU is NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Sacramento beginning May 25th.
