Neff Earns First Professional Win In Singles Main Draw Of Tyler Tennis Championships

TYLER, Texas (SMU)- Junior Adam Neff celebrated his inaugural professional win as he progressed to the quarterfinals of the Tyler Tennis Championships during the course of the week. After receiving a singles main draw wildcard, Neff triumphed over Joao Lucas Reis Da Silva from Brazil in the first round 6-2, 6-3. Neff tallied a totally of 16 aces throughout the match, including a decisive match point that culminated his first professional victory.

Following his initial victory, Neff battled fellow American Christian Langmo in the Round of 64. In a tight match-up, Neff earned the victory with a 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6) final score advancing him to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinal round, Neff clinched the opening set 6-3 over Peter Gojowczyk of Germany. He ultimately fell to Gojowczyk in the following two sets, with scores of 6-3, 6-2 bringing an end to his journey throughout the tournament.

After a successful tournament, Neff earned 16 ATP points which will move his ranking into the top 900 in the world.

The Tyler Tennis Championships is a professional hard-court tournament that is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour.
