Nyah Rose recorded a hat trick to lead the SMU women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory versus Stephen F. Austin at the SFA Soccer Field on Thursday.
Rose sent her first goal into the bottom left corner of the net in the 11
th minute of action. Senior
Mackenzie Rudden advanced the ball to complete the assist.

Rose scored for the second time in the 34

Treasure Byars to put the Mustangs up 2-0 just before halftime.
SMU continued to attack, marking season highs in both shots (16) and corner kicks (8).
Rose struck again in the 67
th minute, this time off an assistant from sophomore
Eliana Salama. The Ontario native poked the ball into the net as she leaped over the SFA's Lydia Sattler to tack onto the Mustangs' lead.
Byars and Salama both tallied their first assists as Mustangs.
Rose's hat trick posts as her fourth goal of the season and marks the latest SMU hat trick since Allie Thornton's four goals against Northern Colorado on Sept. 6, 2019.
