DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's tennis team earned a pair of 7-0 victories in its home doubleheader against Prairie View A&M at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Thursday.

SMU moves to 3-0 with Thursday's two wins. The Mustangs have now started the season with three consecutive shutouts.

All of SMU's singles matches this season have been won in straight sets.

Senior Captain Adam Neff picked up his first singles win of the season in Thursday's morning match against Flores (6-1, 6-0). Julian Steinhausen (6-1, 6-4), Alex Stafford (6-0, 6-0) and Liam Sunkel (7-5, 6-2) also earned their first singles victories in the morning match.

Alex Yang, Kyle Sillman and Callaway Clark all won their first singles match of the season in the afternoon in matches against Ryan Boone, Tafari Dudley and Jaydn Boone.

Louis Cloud and Sillman earned the first doubles win of the day for the Mustangs, shutting out Tafari Dudley and Omari Dudley (6-0). Sillman later teamed up with Maks Silagy in the afternoon to defeat Abdulraheem Isa and Jaydn Boone (6-0).

Huntley Allen and Steinhausen soon followed, defeating Isa and Boone (6-1) to clinch the morning doubles point for SMU.

Neff and freshman Trevor Svajda also came away with two doubles victories (6-3, 6-1) over Diego Hatem and Eduardo Nunez del Pardo Flores between the two matches.

Svajda captured his second collegiate singles win in the afternoon, defeating Flores 6-1, 6-0. Eric Hadigian also scored his second win of the year, this time beating Hatem (6-2, 6-0) in the afternoon.

Juniors Silagy and Cloud both moved to 2-0 on the year in singles, with Silagy defeating Hatem (6-4, 6-0) and Cloud defeating Boone (6-2, 6-0). Silagy went on to also win in the afternoon over Isa (6-0, 6-1).

SMU will return to the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday for its first AAC match of the season versus UAB. Sunday's dual match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
