DALLAS (SMU) – No. 10 SMU will travel to No. 23 NC State to resume their Atlantic Coast Conference campaign, Saturday.

This match will be the Mustangs' third road match of the season. They are 2-1-2 in ACC play and are in sixth place with eight points in the conference standings.

Mustangs vs. Wolfpack
  • This will be the third meeting between SMU and NC State.
  • The series is tied 1-1. Both their previous meetings were in neutral sites.
  • The two teams' first meeting was at the Duke Classic in 1990. Their second meeting was at the same tournament in 2011.
  • In their previous meeting, the Mustangs outshot the Wolfpack 20-9 and had an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal. SMU lost 1-0 in overtime.
Tuesday Night At Washburne
  • No. 10 Mustangs shut out Central Arkansas to win their final non-conference match of the season, Tuesday.
  • The Mustangs took an early lead in the sixth minute and dominated the match to grab a 1-0 win over the Bears.
  • Cesar Ruvalcaba scored his first goal for SMU to win the match. Nikola Djordjevic served the match-winner with his third assist of the season.
  • The Mustangs closed this season's non-conference play undefeated with a 5-0-3 record.
Previous Road Match
  • No. 16 SMU rallied back from two goals down to force a 2-2 tie at 18th-ranked Duke.
  • In a match that went back and forth, Duke was first to capitalize on their chances, taking a 2-0 lead after 50 minutes.
  • SMU rallied back on the final stretch to tie the match with goals from Milton Lopez and Daniel Escorcia. Nikola Djordjevic made his second assist of the season for Escorcia's equalizer.
SMU vs Top-25 Opponents
  • SMU is 2-1-3 against top-25 opponents after drawing No. 5 Stanford on Friday.
  • The Cardinal was the highest-seeded team that the Mustangs have gone against this season.
