BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (SMU) — Three Mustangs received medals at the South Central Region Championship on Friday — the most since 2018. The team placed fifth in a competitive field with 119 points. 

Emily Little led the Mustangs with a 10th place finish, running 19:45.4. Leoni Mierswa ran right with her and crossed the line one second behind for 11th. Kaitlyn Gearin also made the top 25 for a medal — placing 17th with a time of 20:05.8. Each of the three ran their career best time. 

Flora Tissier ran 20:39.1 for 39th place.  Macey Hilton placed 42nd with a personal best time of 20:42.9. 

The Mustangs now wait to see if they receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships.
