The Mustangs started off the Invite strong in the first relay of the night, with the team of

Sage Sungail throwing down a time of 1:24.35 to set a new program record and place second in the event.
The B relay squad of
Eric Stelmar,
Kristaps Mikelsons,
Nico Sobenes and
Lance Butler placed seventh with a time of 1:26.91, while the team of
Rob McCall,
Angus Corbeau,
Cameron Thompson and
Connor McClintic touched the wall in 1:28.23.

SMU continued its success during the second event of the day, posting the first NCAA 'A' Cut of the season and setting a new pool record. The team of

Harold Lockhart recorded a time of 6:14.62 to place first in the event by almost seven seconds and officially punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships in Seattle.
