DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women's tennis team picked up its second ranked-win of the season in a 4-0 sweep over No. 27 Denver on Saturday. 

With the win, SMU improves to 5-4 on the season.  

Hadley Doyle and Drew Morris paired to earn the Mustangs' first doubles win of the day, defeating Denver's Claudia Martinez de Velasco and Alice Otis (6-4). Maja Makoric and Caroline McGinley followed, taking court two in a tiebreaker point (7-6(4)) to secure the doubles team point for SMU. 

Taylor Johnson scored SMU's first singles point in her 6-4, 6-1 win over Denver's Britt Pursell. Morris would become victorious with the same score (6-4, 6-1) on court one against Andrea Burguete Beltran to give the Mustangs a 3-0 advantage. 

Makoric clinched the 4-0 SMU sweep with another straight set victory, this time over Denver's Alice Otis (7-6, 6-2). 

The Mustangs return to action at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Sunday in a dual match with FIU at 11 a.m. (CT).
