San Diego, California (SMU) — No. 32 SMU women's tennis concluded its trip to the west coast with a loss against No. 15 San Diego. The Mustangs earned one point through doubles play en route to the 4-1 final score.

SMU was coming off a 5-2 loss against No. 74 California Santa Barbara on Wednesday. Graduate students Hadley Doyle and Lana Mavor notched two points for the Mustangs — each winning their singles matches.

Against San Diego, SMU won the first points of the match in doubles play.

The Mustangs earned a ranked win, with Doyle and Drew Morris taking down No. 72 Kailey Evans and Kristina Nordikyan. Caroline McGinley and Maja Makoric also paired to take down Claudia De Las Heras and Jordyn McBridge (6-3).

SMU was swept in singles play, with Doyle and Mavor's matches going unfinished after winning the first sets, respectively.

The Mustangs will continue their road stretch — traveling to North Carolina — to take on Charlotte. First serve is set for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22.
