Box Score CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (SMU) — No. 43 SMU women's tennis played its second match of the weekend, with the Mustangs sweeping USF in a singles-only competition.
En route to the 4-0 victory, Drew Morris, Taylor Johnson, Hadley Doyle and Lana Mavor all notched wins.
Johnson, Doyle and Mavor all swept their matches in two sets.
Johnson defeated Nadja Bay Christians — 7-6, 6-2 while Doyle, the 2023 AAC Player of the Year, took down Marta Falceto Font (7-5, 6-1).
Mavor earned her twelfth win of the year against Gargi Pawar, winning 6-2 in the first set and 6-1 in the second.
Against Grace Schumacher, Morris won her match in three sets (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) — securing the win for the Mustangs.
This match had to be moved indoors due to weather conditions. As a result of the facility having four indoor courts, the coaches agreed to start with singles play. The Mustangs won the first four matchups to clinch the win, with doubles not needing to be played.

SMU continues its road stretch, traveling to Oklahoma to take on Tulsa on Saturday, March 30. The Mustangs then return home to take on TCU on Thursday, April 4 for Staff Appreciation Night.
