ABILENE, Texas (SMU) – SMU sophomore Millie Skelton and freshman June Bjork wrapped up competition in the Wildcat Invitational over the weekend. The duo had a successful outing in the doubles portion of the event, winning their doubles flight. 

In Flight A, the tandem defeated Pinaieva/Kurdi (New Mexico State) 6-0, Morales Araneda/Burger (Tarleton State) 6-2, and Oreshchenkova/Hlahola (Texas Tech) 6-2 to go a perfect 3-0 in doubles over the weekend.

In singles action, Millie Skelton took down Candice Bernier from UTEP with scores of 6-3 and 6-3 before falling in the semifinal round of her flight.

Up next, the Mustangs will host the SMU Invitational at Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex from Oct. 4-6.
