DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Swimming and Diving completed a double dual meet against Arizona and TCU, defeating TCU and claiming four event wins on Friday at the Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center.

200 Medley Relay
The squad of Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Sage Sungail and Benjamin Chateigner finished third in the 200 medley relay after earning a time of 1:27.13. Thad Austin, Joe Umhofer, Nico Sobenes and Harold Lockhart touched the wall in 1:28.83 to place fifth. In an exhibition, Andy Baklanov, Ben Longeway, Cameron Thompson and George Gonzalez recorded a time of 1:30.52.
500 Free
Jack Forrest took home the 500 free win, posting a time of 4:22.95. Mark Van Eybergen finished fourth with a time of 4:25.25 and Leonardo Pelaez followed after throwing down a time of 4:26.43. In an exhibition, Aubrey Jaya and Zach Power recorded times of 4:28.30 and 4:38.26, respectively.
50 Free
In the 50 free, Sage Sungail finished on the podium, claiming third with a 19.97. Benjamin Chateigner touched the wall in 20.08 to finish fifth. Harold Lockhart recorded a time of 20.32 to place seventh. In an exhibition, Eli Likins and Thad Austin threw down times of 20.74 and 20.85, respectively. Also in an exhibition, Cameron Thompson put up a 20.87 and George Gonzalez recorded a 21.03.
200 Back
Andy Baklanov placed second in the 200 back, throwing down a time of 1:43.29. This performance beats his previous time of 1:43.81, now putting him eighth on SMU's All-Time Top Performers list.
Francis Brennan finished fifth for the Mustangs, touching the wall in 1:45.23. Closely behind, Jack Berube recorded a time of 1:45.73.
200 Breast
Posting a time of 1:58.54, Joe Umhofer secured first place in the 200 breast. Directly behind him was Kristaps Mikelsons, who claimed another podium performance for the Mustangs with a 1:58.69.
Ben Longeway recorded a time of 2:03.76 and in an exhibition, Ewan Lonergan touched the wall in 2:04.84.
100 Fly
Nico Sobenes finished fifth with a time of 48.25 while Jack Moore earned sixth after throwing down a time of 48.67. Ryan Peckham recorded a time of 49.01 and in an exhibition, Aidan Arie touched the wall in 49.85. Also in exhibitions, Cameron Thompson and Zach Power posted times of 50.04 and 50.57, respectively.
200 Free
Freshman Francis Brennan finished third with a time of 1:35.87. Captain Jack Forrest earned a 1:37.55 to earn fourth place. Aubrey Jaya touched the wall in 1:38.55 and Mark Van Eybergen posted a time of 1:39.87 in an exhibition.
400 IM
Winning the 400 IM for the Mustangs was Andy Baklanov, posting a time of 3:52.80. Joe Umhofer finished in 4:00.77 and Leonardo Pelaez touched the wall in 4:01.35.
1-Meter Diving
On 1-meter, Luke Sitz earned his third consecutive win, posting a mark of 361.00. Freshman Grant Cates finished fourth, scoring a 300.20 mark. RJ Snyder recorded a score of 255.50 and in an exhibition, John Dymond earned a 241.60 mark.
400 Free Relay
The team of Benjamin Chateigner, Sage Sungail, Harold Lockhart and Francis Brennan claimed a podium finish in the 400 free relay, recording a time of 2:53.86. In fourth, the squad of Jack Moore, Kristaps Mikelsons, George Gonzalez and Eli Likins touched the wall in 2:56.74.
