CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) – SMU All-American diver Luke Sitz has been named ACC Diver of the Week for the fourth time in the 2025-26 season, announced the conference in a release on Tuesday.
The All-American is awarded this honor after his explosive performance at the SMU Invite on Nov. 19-22. Sitz nabbed event wins on 1-meter and 3-meter, securing 40 points for the Mustangs. The sophomore earned a new Robson and Lindley Pool record on 1-meter, posting a 404.05 mark in the preliminary round. The win was Sitz's fifth consecutive 1-meter victory. On 3-meter, the diver took the win after recording a combined score of 863.35.
This week's honor is Sitz's 10th ACC Diver of the Week accolade, placing him second in the ACC for the most career ACC Diver of the Week wins. He leads the ACC on both 1-meter and 3-meter.
The Texas native has already earned NCAA Zone cuts on both 1-meter and 3-meter. As a freshman, Sitz earned seventh on 1-meter at the NCAA Championships, earning him First Team All-America accolades. At the ACC Championships, he nabbed a silver medal on 3-meter and a bronze medal on 1-meter.
Luke Sitz and the entire SMU swimming and diving team will be back at the pool on Friday, Jan. 2 at 5 p.m. CT and Saturday, Jan. 3 at 12 p.m. CT against Oklahoma Christian.
