DALLAS (SMU) – SMU women's tennis senior Drew Morris and sophomore Caroline McGinley have been named to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators on Wednesday.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Morris posted a perfect 3.61 as an Applied Physiology and Health Management major and a Psychology minor. On the court, Morris went 16-15 in singles and 14-10 in doubles action. Morris closed out her four-year career at SMU this season, ending a decorated career with 128 combined doubles and singles victories. She collected two singles wins over ranked opponents in the spring season, the Mustangs' first in the ACC.
In her second season on the Hilltop, McGinley tabbed a GPA of 3.96 in Finance at the Cox School of Business. On the court, McGinley went 8-14 in singles and 10-17 in doubles, playing on court one doubles for the majority of ACC play.Â
