Anyanwu, Davis Selected to USA Volleyball National Team Collegiate Training Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (SMU) - SMU Volleyball standouts Favor Anyanwu and Suli Davis have been invited to compete in the USA Volleyball Women's National Team Collegiate Training series, which runs from Feb. 19-22, 2026, at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The three-day training will bring together 62 athletes representing 20 USA Volleyball regions, with participants from 29 NCAA Division I universities. The Women's National Team Collegiate Training (WNTCT) serves as a high-level development opportunity, allowing athletes to train and compete in a national team environment while being assessed by Women's National Team staff.

In addition to on-court training, athletes will participate in professional volleyball presentations from Athletes Unlimited, Major League Volleyball, and League One Volleyball, providing insight into professional pathways available following their collegiate careers.

AVCA All-American Honorable Mention selection, Favor Anyanwu, has competed three times for Team USA, most recently at the 2025 Women's U21 Pan American Cup, where she helped lead the U.S. to a gold medal while being named the Second-Best Middle Blocker at the event. Anyanwu is coming off a breakout season on the Hilltop, where she finished the campaign ranked fifth in the nation in total blocks with 178, a mark that ranks second most in program history. The Rowlett, Texas native, also earned AVCA Southwest Region First Team and All-ACC Second Team recognition in her first season at SMU.

AVCA Second Team All-American selection, Suli Davis, has been on the USA U19 roster since 2023. Most recently, Davis competed at the 2025 FIVB Girls U19 World Championship last summer, where she was named the tournament's Best Outside Hitter. The Sophomore from Euless, Texas, transferred to SMU after a historic freshman season at BYU, where she broke the program's rally-scoring era freshman kills record. Davis earned AVCA West Region Freshman of the Year, AVCA All-West Region First Team, Big 12 Freshman of the Year and All-Big 12 First Team honors in her first season of collegiate volleyball with the Cougars.
