DALLAS (SMU) - SMU Volleyball revealed today its 2026 ACC schedule, which features matches against Louisville, Stanford and Pittsburgh at Moody Coliseum this fall.   

Coming off the program's first Sweet Sixteen appearance, SMU's ACC slate features three teams that finished the 2025 season ranked in the top 10 of the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Poll.

The Mustangs will open their ACC slate with one of the marquee matchups of the season as they battle Stanford on Friday, Sept. 25.  

SMU ends its first road stretch of conference play in early October with a road showdown against Pittsburgh on Oct. 7, followed by a home matchup with the Panthers on Saturday, Oct. 11.  

Head coach Sam Erger and company will also have two meetings with Louisville, the first being in Dallas on Friday, Nov. 13. The Mustangs then battle the Cardinals on the road in the final match of the regular season on Nov. 28.  

Other featured matchups include home meetings with Miami on Friday, Oct. 16 and North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 6.  

Four of the Mustangs' non-conference matches have already been released, a lineup that includes a neutral-site meeting with reigning national champion Texas A&M in the AVCA First Serve on Aug. 23 in Milwaukee, followed by the inaugural Spikes Under the Lights women's college volleyball showcase featuring four of the nation's top programs, Nebraska, Penn State, SMU and Florida, for a $1 million prize pool. The Mustangs will also travel to the Bahamas for the Paradise Invitational, the first event of its kind held outside the United States. SMU will face Kentucky in its first match on Sept. 12, followed by a contest against Purdue or Houston on Sept. 13.  

Television selections and the remainder of the Mustangs' non-conference slate will be announced at later dates.

The 2025 season was a historic one that saw the Mustangs advance to the program's first-ever Sweet Sixteen. In its second season competing in the ACC, SMU volleyball tied a program record with 27 wins and achieved its highest national ranking to date, climbing as high as No. 7 in the AVCA Coaches Poll during the 2025 season. The Mustangs recorded marquee victories over national powers Louisville and Stanford and delivered one of the program's signature wins by sweeping eventual national champion Texas A&M at Moody Coliseum in September.  

SMU welcomed four transfers to the 2026 roster including, AVCA Second Team All-American sophomore outside hitter Suli Davis, libero Victoria Harris, opposite hitter Gabi Placide and setter Ellie Moore. The Mustangs also added four freshmen: opposite/outside hitter Bojana Ambulija, middle blocker Elle Vandeweghe, pin hitter Levariya Pinder and defensive specialist/libero Victoria Shupe. SMU returns eight players from last year's historic season, including four starters.
