LOUISVILLE, Ky. (SMU) – SMU Women's Tennis (11-5, 5-4 ACC) won the first of three straight road matches, defeating Louisville Cardinals (9-7, 1-7 ACC) 4-0 on Friday. 

The win marked SMU's sixth true road victory of the season, improving to 6-2 away from Dallas and 4-1 in ACC road contests.   

SMU won its 14th doubles point of the season and now holds a 14-2 record in doubles points in the spring. The Mustangs won on all three courts, starting on court three, where Sophie Llewellyn and Natalie Stasny won 6-1. The point was clinched by Addison Comiskey and Ellie Mireles as the duo won 6-3 on court two, followed by another win from No. 10-ranked Amelie Van Impe and Caroline McGinley, 6-4 on court one.

Van Impe and McGinley are now 12-1 in doubles play this season. 
 
Up 1-0, Addison Comiskey added to the Mustangs' advantage, not dropping a game with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over her opponent on court one. The win marked the freshman's second straight victory.   

After winning the first set 7-5, No. 63 Amelie Van Impe clawed back from a deficit in the second frame to win the match 7-5, 6-4.    

No. 61 Sophie Llewellyn clinched the day for SMU with a 7-6(5), 6-3 decision on court two. Llewellyn earned her 10th win of dual match play and 20th of the 2025-26 season to lead all Mustangs. The win also marked her fifth conference victory of the year. 

As a team, SMU now has four shutouts on the season and two in ACC play.
