DALLAS (SMU) – In the first season of the McKenna era, SMU women's tennis earned a bid to the NCAA Championships, announced at the selection show on Monday evening. The No. 25 Mustangs will face Wichita State in the first round at the University of Oklahoma.
The Mustangs will look to avenge a loss to the Shockers earlier in the season in Kansas.
It will be the program's 14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the third in the last four seasons.
The sixth-seeded Sooners overall will host SMU, Wichita State and Kansas in the first and second rounds on May 2-3 in Norman, Okla.
The Mustangs are entering NCAAs with a 15-7 overall record and a 7-5 conference record.

Sophie Llewellyn also represents SMU in the ITA rankings for singles, coming in at No. 93 in the latest edition.
