SMU women's golf was selected to the Waco Regional of the NCAA Championship announced by the NCAA on Wednesday.
 
The tournament is slated for May 11-13 at Ridgewood Country Club where the Mustangs are a four seed. This will mark the Mustangs' fourth straight trip to the NCAA Regional. The team will be in search of its third trip to the NCAA Championship in the last four seasons.
 
On the season, the Mustangs have posted four top two finishes. At the ACC Championship, the Mustangs finished in second in stroke play among the 15 ACC teams. They earned a bye to the semifinals where they defeated North Carolina, 3-1. The team fell to the No. 1 team in the country, Stanford, in the finals.
 
Seniors Mackenzie Lee and Emily Odwin have set the standard at SMU. Lee holds 13 SMU records and recently won her first individual title at the Huntington Bank Collegiate. Lee and Odwin rank first and second at SMU in career scoring. Odwin leads the team this season in scoring (71.82). Her season ranks fifth all-time at SMU.
 
Junior Celine Chen has the fourth lowest career scoring mark by a Mustang (73.45). She has a 72.68 scoring average this season. Junior transfers Yoonjeong Huh and Grace JIn have appeared in the SMU starting lineup and have helped the Mustangs to top third finishes.  Freshman Kirra St-Laurent has a 74.25 scoring average with a best finish of 12^th. The lone sophomore on the roster, Jingan (Annie) Huang, has made one appearance this season as an individual
