DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women's soccer program concludes non-conference play by hosting Idaho State on Sunday inside Washburne Stadium.
The game will kick off at 1 pm CT. Fans can enjoy free admission to all SMU women's soccer regular season matches. Sunday's game will air on ACCNX, and fans can also follow along via live stats found

Sunday is also Senior Day for the Mustangs.
Aubrey Brown,
Jessi Curry,
Ella DeMott and
Jessica Osborne will be recognized in a post-game ceremony for their dedication to the program.
SMU will look to remain unbeaten at home this season, after drawing (rv) Texas Tech 1-1 last time out. The Mustangs have outscored their opponents 14-2 at home this season and recorded four shutout victories.
Brooke Bunton leads SMU in goals with three after recording her first career brace against UIW. Bunton and
Kaylee Noble and
Julianne Richter are tied for the team lead in total points with six. Bunton ranks tied for 15th in the ACC in goals scored.
Kaylee Noble joined Bunton as the only Mustangs to record a brace this season as she scored twice in SMU's win over Southern. It is the first time SMU has had two players record back-to-back braces since 2023 (Rose vs Tulsa, Balata vs FAU).
Noble leads SMU in total shots with 24 and in shots on goal with 12. She ranks seventh in the ACC in total shots and fourth in the conference in shots on goal.
Goalkeeper
Aubrey Brown has led SMU to four shutouts this season, which is tied for the most by any goalkeeper in the ACC and third in the NCAA. The team has recorded back-to-back home shutouts twice this year.
The Mustangs added 17 newcomers to their 2026 roster, 10 freshmen and seven transfers. Head coach
Nicole Nelson also brought in two new assistant coaches,
Chassion Griggs and former SMU graduate assistant and men's soccer player
Nick Petrucelli.
SMU returned 10 players, including midfielder
Brooke Bunton, who was called up to the USWYNT U-18 team five times during the offseason and
Libby Jannereth, who was picked by TopDrawerSoccer as SMU's ACC Breakout Candidate this season.
// FRESHMAN STANDOUTS
- Freshmen Julianne Richter and Londynn Hagan have been shining bright for the Mustangs
- Richter is tied for second in the ACC and 13th in the NCAA in total assists with four. Richter is only one of eight players in the conference to record four assists this season. After scoring her first career goal against Texas Tech, she is now tied for the team lead in points.
- Hagan is one of four Mustangs to score multiple goals this season (Bunton, Parkhurst, Noble). She is fourth on the team in points with five and is coming off scoring her second goal of the season against HCU.
// SETTING THE SCENE
- Sunday's match will be the eighth time SMU and have faced each other. ISU
- The Mustangs will look remain unbeaten at home (4-0-2). SMU began last season 5-0-0. With a win or draw on Sunday, it would be the longest home unbeaten streak to begin a season since 2016, when the team went 6-0-1 at home before its first loss.
- SMU has scored 17 goals this season with 12 in its last four games, including scoring four against Southern and five against UIW. The five were the most goals scored in a game since SMU beat Texas, Southern 6-0 in 2024.
- The Mustangs rank eighth in the ACC in goals (17), fifth in saves (15), and seventh in assists (16). SMU has had 11 players score a goal this season, with four scoring multiple goals.
// LAST TIME OUT
- SMU battled the full 90 minutes against (rv) Texas Tech as Julianne Richter's game-tying goal in the 74th minute led SMU to a 1-1 draw.
- The Mustangs set the tone of the match early on, fast and physical, which allowed SMU to outshoot Texas Tech 17-12.
- TTU scored late in the first half, but it did not deter the Mustangs as Richter scored the game-tying goal on a feed from Libby Jannereth to swing the momentum back to the Mustangs. SMU held Texas Tech to only two shots in the second half to remain unbeaten at home this season.
- Brooke Bunton and Kaylee Noble led SMU in shots with four apiece as all three of Richter's shots were on goal, which was also a team high.
// IN THE RANKINGS
- SMU received votes in the Week 1 IWSOC / United Soccer Coaches Poll. It was the first time the Mustangs had been ranked or received votes in the poll since 2022. (No. 24, Sept. 29, 2022).
- In the latest IWSOC / United Soccer Coaches Poll, the ACC had nine teams ranked or receiving votes. Stanford led the way, ranked No. 1 in the nation, followed by Duke (No. 2), Wake Forest (No. 5), North Carolina (No. 9), Virginia (No. 12), Florida State (No. 15). Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Notre Dame received votes.
- The Mustangs were picked to finish 14th overall in the ACC preseason poll. SMU finished last season ranked 12th in the conference.
- SMU will face six teams that were ranked in the IWSOC / United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll: No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 Duke, No.5 Vanderbilt, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 11 Virginia, and No. 23 Texas Tech.
