Keane Hamilton enters his first year (2026) at SMU as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach where he will oversee Women's Soccer, Men's Golf, and Sports Science for Olympic Sports. Hamilton is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA CSCS) and holds a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach certification (USAW-L1).
Prior to his arrival at SMU, Hamilton spent the past 6 years at Appalachian State University, where he served as Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Women's Soccer program, as well as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in strength and conditioning and sport nutrition.
Prior to Appalachian State, Hamilton was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Fort Lewis College, primarily working with Men's and Women's Soccer, while also serving as an Assistant Coach for the Men's Soccer program.
He earned his master's degree in Coaching and Exercise Science from University College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland), and his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Fort Lewis College (Durango, CO). A former student-athlete, Hamilton played Men's Soccer at Fort Lewis College from 2006-11 and was a member of the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship team.
