2025 (GR): CSC Academic All-District… Appeared in all 18 games with 15 starts… Led SMU in assists with six and in total points with 12… Most assists in a single season by a Mustang since she had six during the 2022 season… Her 0.33 assists per game ranked 20th in the ACC… Recorded three assists in a 4-3 win over North Texas (8/21), the most assists in a game by a Mustang since 2015… Had her second multi-assist game of the season with two assists in a 3-0 victory against Houston Christian (9/4). Scored three goals during the season… Scored two goals during ACC play, including the first goal in a 2-1 win over Cal (10/5)… Tallied 20 shots with 10 on goal… Played over 1,000 minutes totaling 1,156… Played the full 90 against Louisville.

Prep: Samantha Lynn Nieves is a defender from Las Vegas, Nevada. She helped Bishop Gorman High School to a 2017-18 Nevada State Championship. She was a three-sport athlete, also earning letters in basketball and track and field. She was also the basketball defensive MVP and part of two track relay school records. She played for Las Vegas Sports Academy, winning the 2017 national championships and finishing third at the 2018 and 2019 national championships.
