Biography

2024 (SR.): Transferred to SMU in her last year of eligibility… Started all 17 games during the season and ended the year with a record of 5-9-2… Totaled 77 saves during the season, including a season-high of nine in a 1-1 draw against No. 2 Florida State (9/22/24)… Recorded five or more saves in nine matches during the season, including four straight of seven or more during conference action… Ended the season with a save percentage of .748 and a GAA of 1.71… Faced a total of 250 shots during the season and recorded two solo shutouts and two combined shutouts… She had five saves against Syracuse (9/12/24) in the program's first ACC victory… Tallied a career-high total of 1,365 minutes played in net during the season.

After leaving SMU she signed her first professional contract with AFC Toronto in January of 2025. 

2023 (JR at Arkansas): Started the first eight matches of the season in goal before heading to camp with the Portuguese Women’s National Team. In that time, she recorded 30 saves in 900 minutes of action. She ended the season with a record of 7-3-2 and helped the Razorbacks to a 15-5-2 season overall and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Last season, Cota-Yarde was also named to the 2023 SEC Community Service Team. 

2022 (SO at Arkansas): Played 13 minutes in goal against Arkansas State on Aug. 28, giving up one goal… Appeared in two penalty shootouts, the SEC Tournament quarterfinals against Vanderbilt on Nov. 1 and the NCAA Sweet 16 match versus Memphis on Nov. 20, and netted both of her attempts.

2021 (FR at Prairie View A&M): Played in seven matches for the Prairie View A&M Panthers … Recorded a season high 110 minutes in the Panthers’ match versus McNeese State … Notched three shutouts and assisted in one for the Panthers in 2021.

Prep: Competed in club soccer for the North Toronto Nitros, and has U19 and U23 National Team experience.

Personal: Daughter of Cidalia Cota and Kevin Yarde... Plans to get a master’s degree in Liberal Studies at SMU.
