The SMU football team heads to San Jose, California today for tomorrow's 4:00 p.m. CT kick-off against WAC opponent San Jose State.
The Mustangs visit will be the first home contest for San Jose State on the year, and will be only the second road game the Ponies have taken part of in the 2001 season. Junior quarterback David Page will be making his second consecutive start of the year for SMU, while the offense will be without the service of sophomore running back Keylon Kincade who will miss the game due to a concussion.
On defense, SMU will be without the services of sophomore safety Ruben Moodley who is out of action with an ankle sprain.
Saturday's contest will be the second meeting all-time between the schools. San Jose defeated the Mustangs last year, 35-10, on Oct. 7 in Dallas. SMU made the trip to San Jose on Oct. 23, 1999 but that game was cancelled after an electrical transformer exploded just an hour prior to kickoff causing a power outage at Spartan Stadium.
