DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team (294+281=575) had a stellar second round in the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate on Saturday, shooting a 7-under par 281 to take a two shot lead over Virginia heading into the final round scheduled for Sunday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Will Dodson (73+68=141) and Colt Knost (73+68=141) each fired 68's on Saturday to lead the Mustangs and are tied for third individually.
Scott Sikes (70+75=145) sits in a tie for 17th overall and Zeke Reyna (80+70=150) is tied for 35th. Dan Kleckner (78+78=156) rounds out the SMU scorers and is tied for 57th.
Brandon DeStefano (73+74=147) and Wes Homan (76+71=147) are both competing as individuals and are tied for 26th.
Final-round play starts Saturday at 8 a.m. CT.
