DALLAS (SMU) - Riding high following the thrilling "Legend At Legion" 28-27 win at UAB, the SMU Mustangs host the ECU Pirates for an afternoon matchup on "Kids' Day At Gerald J." on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m.
There will be a free pre-game Kids' Carnival on the Pettus Practice Fields just west of Ford Stadium at noon on gameday. All kids 13 and under get free admission to the game and adult tickets are just $5.
Saturday's game marks the first meeting between the two schools. The Pirates are a vastly improved team in 2005, standing at 2-3 after winning just two games against nine losses in 2004. ECU snapped a three-game losing streak with a 41-28 rout of Rice on Oct. 8 and has been close in two of their three losses. They are led by QB James Pinkney, who has thrown for almost 1,300 yards in five games and is completing over 60 percent of his pass attempts.
The game will be broadcast on 1310 AM "The Ticket" and will also be available on All-Access on SMUMustangs.com. For fans with DishNetwork, the game will also be shown on Channel 447.
