Ackerson Finishes 65th At Q-School

LAKELAND, Fla. (SMU) - SMU Mustang golfer Jennifer Ackerson had rounds of 74-78-75 to make the cut and then shot even-par 72 the last round to finish in a tie for 65th at the LPGA Futures Tour Qualifying Tournament. The tournament was held at three golf courses - Cleveland Heights G.C., Huntington Hills G.C. and Schalamar Creek G.C.
"Jennifer's last round enabled her to pass a lot of players and should give her the confidence that she can play at that level," said SMU head coach Todd Selders. "A lot of those players she finished ahead of are doing it for a living and don't have to worry about the classroom and books anymore. I think it was an outstanding effort by Jennifer."
