TULSA (OKLA) - Alex Skrypko began singles play this morning in the main draw of the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championship. The Championships are being hosted at the University of Tulsa as Skrypko had two matches today.

This morning, Skrypko was edged by Luis Flores of Georgia, 7-5, 7-5, in the first round of the main draw. He was then slated to take on Bojan Szumanski of Texas Tech in the first round of the consolation bracket. Skrypko easily took care of Szumanski, defeating him, 6-2, 6-2.

This win advances him to the second round where he will take on Christian Groh of San Diego St., who also defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-2, to advance to the second round.
