Chen Announces Fall 2025 Schedule

Fall Schedule

DALLAS (SMU) — SMU Men's Tennis Head Coach Grant Chen announces his team's schedule for the fall of 2025 on Friday.

The Mustangs will play in 10 regular season tournaments, leading up to the NCAA Individual Championships on Nov. 18-23. This year's NCAA Individual Championships will be held in Orlando, Florida.

"We are hungry and motivated to start off a brand-new collegiate tennis season. We grew and learned so much last season in our inaugural year in the ACC," said Chen.

"The NCAA individual Championships last fall have allowed us to understand the new fall format. We have a great balance of tournaments and a much more experienced team."

SMU will open the season at the Waco Fall Kickoff at Baylor on Sep. 12-14.

Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex is set to host the annual Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.

The Mustangs' road to the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships will begin at the ITA All-American Championships (Sep. 20-28) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They will compete for ten singles and four doubles qualifying spots for the NCAA Championships in the tournament.

A second opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships will be at the ITA Texas Regional Championships hosted by Texas A&M, Oct. 15-21. Twenty-six singles and 13 doubles NCAA Championships qualifiers will be named at the Regional Championships.

The ITA Sectional Championships, scheduled for Nov. 6-9, is the final NCAA qualifying opportunity for the Mustangs. The ITA Sectionals will have 24 singles and 12 doubles spots for the NCAA Individual Championships.
