Lubbock, Texas - The SMU women's track and field team opened up the 2007 indoor campaign on Friday at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock, posting solid marks in the meet.
In the 1,000-meter run, the tandem of junior Krystal Rodriguez and sophomore Sierra Anderson placed second and third, respectively, with Rodriguez posting a time of 3:14.86 and Anderson with a mark of 3:15.01. Teammate Magan Moore finished in fifth place with a time of 3:19.40 while freshman Sarah Hardwick took 12th place with a mark of 4:23.75. In the 600-yard run, senior Tangela Feemster placed seventh with a time of 1:36.80.
In the distance medley, the SMU "A" quartet placed fourth in a time of 12:38.12. The Mustang "B" team finished in sixth place with a mark of 13:02.49. In the weight throw, freshman Lauren Kuhner posted a mark of 15.16 meters while freshman Meagan Berg tossed a mark of 14.15 meters.
SMU wraps up its stay in Lubbock on Saturday, competing in the Wes Kittley Invitational.
