DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's tennis team is headed to Houston, Texas, this weekend to face Conference USA foe, Rice. The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start on Sat., March 24.
No. 62 SMU is 11-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. They are led by Natalia Bubien at the No. 1 singles and doubles position where she pairs with Claire Rietsch. Rietsch and Pavi Francis have posted the highest winning percentage for the Mustangs as they play the No. 3 and 5 positions, respectively.
Longtime foe, Rice is 4-11 on the season and 0-1 in C-USA play. The Owls are led by Julie Chao at the No. 1 spot with a 6-6 record and she pairs with Tiffany Lee at No. 1 doubles. Rice is 3-6 this season at home while the Mustangs are 4-1 on the road.
