Norman, Okla. - The SMU women's track and field squad posted strong marks Saturday in the Sooner Invitational at Norman, Okla.
In the high jump event, senior Gaelle Niare captured first place, matching her season-best mark of 1.80 meters. She also finished in fourth place in the 100-meter hurdles (15.74). Sophomore Christina Mueller turned in a season-best performance in the discus event with a throw of 49.15 meters. In the 1500-meter run, Jessica Jackson and Krystal Rodriguez finished third and fourth, respectively. Jackson ran the event in a time of 4:44.53 while Rodriguez posted a mark of 4:47.76.
