Austin, Texas - Competition at this year's Texas Relays wrapped up Saturday for the Mustang track and field squad.
In the javelin event, senior Andrea Kvetova turned in a season-best performance with a toss of 50.31 meters - good for second place. The mark was also an NCAA Regional automatic mark. The mark of 50.31 meters is also the third-best outdoor mark in the javelin (new model) in the Mustang record books.
In the distance medley relay, the quartet of Jessica Jackson, Nnenna Ejesieme, Chelsea Wells, and Krystal Rodriguez finished in 14th place.
SMU's next meet is scheduled for this coming weekend (April 13-14) at the OU Invitational in Norman, Okla.
