DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's soccer team swarmed the opposing goal all night and dominated in every statistical category except the one that matters the most - the score - and ended up getting upset, 1-0, by visiting Marshall at Westcott Field Sunday night.

The Mustangs controlled play virtually all game long, outshooting their guests, 25-7, and taking 10 corner kicks to just one by the Thundering Herd.

But Marshall got on the scoreboard in the second minute of the game when Kolby LaCrone collected a loose ball and slipped a shot in to the lower right corner of the net, and then hung on for more than 88 minutes to pick up the win.

The Mustangs now go out on the road for a pair of games this week at UAB Wednesday night and at UCF Saturday night before returning home for the regular-season home finale at 12 p.m., Nov. 2 against the University of Kentucky.
