DALLAS (SMU) - SMU freshman James Kwon garnered individual medalist honors after firing a 1-under 212 at the Baylor Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Royal Oaks Country Club. Kwon, who shot a 3-over 74 in the first round, carded back-to-back rounds of 2-under 69 to win the event by one stroke.
SMU took seventh as a team at 885, but finished 15 strokes behind champion Texas A&M.
Draegen Majors tied for 35th at 226, while Max Buckley and Kelly Kraft tied for 42nd at 228. Marc Sambol's final round 83 saw him slip to 47th at 229, while SMU's Ben Tewes, who played as an individual, tied for 25th at 223.
