Fjortoft, Pettigrew Post Wins At Bobby Lane Invite

ARLINGTON, Texas (SMU) - SMU's Silje Fjortoft and Ilyssa Pettigrew each claimed wins on Saturday at UTA Bobby Lane Invitational at Maverick Stadium. Fjortoft won the 1,500m in 4:24.47, while Pettigrew won the 800m in 2:09.38.

SMU's throwers also fared well, with Lauren Kuhner taking second in the hammer at 53.29m and Kylie Spurgeon (51.60m) and Christina Mueller (51.03m) going two-three in the discus. On the track, Gayla Cloud also posted a top-three finish, taking third in the 400m hurdles in 1:02.03.
