WALNUT, Calif. (SMU) - SMU's Christina Mueller took first place in the women's discus at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on Friday, April 18. Competing against a talented field, Mueller recorded a 51.78m heave to best the field by over two meters. Mustang freshman Kylie Spurgeon took fourth in the event with a 45.89m throw.

In the 400m hurdles, SMU's Nnenna Ejesieme and Chelsea Wells each set new season-best times. Ejesieme crossed the line in 1:01.82 to take fifth, while Wells' time of 1:04.76 was good for 17th. Gayla Cloud also competed in the event, taking 15th in 1:04.19.
