DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team sits in 12th place following 18 holes at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. The Mustangs had a balanced attack with all five golfers shooting 74s or 75s.

Draegen Majors and Ben Tewes are 33rd at 4-over 74, while Scott Barton, Kelly Kraft and James Kwon are 41st at 5-over 75.

As a team, SMU stands at 298. Indiana leads the event at 288. Two players are tied for the individual lead at 2-under 68.

The tournament, which is being played at the 7,157-yard, par 70 Olympia Fields North Course features a loaded field - No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 5 Stanford, No. 11 Florida State, No. 12 Arizona State, No. 20 Indiana, No. 24 Texas, Central Florida, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, SMU and Vanderbilt.

The tournament continues on Saturday and concludes on Sunday.
