Volleyball: Caroline Daly Inks With Mustangs

DALLAS, Texas (SMU) - Caroline Daly signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at SMU. The 6-0, middle blocker from Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., was a three year letter-winner at Palos Verdes High School.
Daly was named Captain and Most Valuable Player of her team, and earned First Team All-Bay League honors as a senior. She earned the Most Improved Player Award as both a sophomore and a junior, and was named the Most Valuable Player of the freshmen squad in 2006.
Daly is also an excellent student, gaining acceptance into the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society, was a member of the California Scholarship Federation and was on the Principal's Honor Roll all four years at Palos Verdes.
She played club volleyball for the Long Beach Mizuno 18, and won a Gold Medal in the 2009 Junior Olympics Championship Tournament. Daly also participated in the same tournament in 2007. The team will travel to Spain for an international competition in April 2010. Daly attended the USA Volleyball High Performance Women's Junior Development A1 Camp in 2008.
At SMU, Daly plans to double-major in Business and Cinema TV. She is the daughter of Bob and Emiley Daly, and has one sister, Courtney.
