Austin, Texas (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds at the 43rd-annual Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the par-71, 7,412-yard University of Texas Golf Club. SMU carded rounds of 300 and 298 and are just eight strokes out of third place. The Mustangs are taking on a talented field in the 18-team event which features Air Force, No. 17 Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oklahoma, No. 3 Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Rice, No. 18 TCU, No. 15 Texas, No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 13 Texas Tech, Tulsa, UNLV and No. 2 USC.
Kelly Kraft leads SMU at 4-over 146 after shooting 72-74. Max Buckley (73-77) and James Kwon (74-76) are tied at 8-over 150, while Marc Sambol (83-72-155) and Ben Tewes (81-76) round out the SMU squad.
