DALLAS (SMU) - One of the most prestigious clubs in England, Chelsea FC, will be conducting a free skills clinic at SMU's Westcott Field on Friday, July 24 at from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The clinic is completely free to the first 200 children between the ages of 7-14 that pre-registered. Due to overwhelming response, the clinic is at capacity. All participants will receive coaching from the Chelsea staff, and receive a free t-shirt, shorts, and soccer ball.
London-based Chelsea will play Mexico City's Club America in a friendly match at Cowboys' Stadium in Arlington on Sunday, July 26 at 6 p.m. Chelsea is coming off a season in which they finished third in the English League standings, reached the semi-finals of the European Champions' League and won the English FA Cup.
Formal registration takes place at 10:30 on the morning of the clinic. Parents will need to bring their own identification and there will be a release form to sign.
