CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) – SMU Men's Soccer sophomore
Stephan Soghomonian was named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Soghomonian earned his second career ACC weekly honors after scoring five goals in two matches last week, leading the Mustangs in their two wins against Boston College and Central Arkansas.
He scored two goals against UCA on Oct. 14 before scoring his second hat trick of the season in SMU's 3-2 win against Boston on Saturday.
The California native is the first Mustang to score multiple hat tricks in a single season since Jelldrik Dallmann in the 2023 season. He is also one of only four players in the nation to have recorded multiple hat tricks this season.
Soghomonian has scored eight goals in four matches. He has had multi-goal games in the last three home matches.
The sophomore forward is now the ACC's conference-play top scorer with six goals and the second-highest scoring player in the ACC this season with nine goals.
Soghomonian and the Mustangs will head to No. 1 Stanford for their final regular-season road match on Sunday.
