CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (SMU) - After a blistering second-round 65, SMU's Kelly Kraft just missed medalist honors at the Cabo Collegiate at the 7,070-yard, par-72 Querencia Golf Course, finishing tied for runner-up honors at 4-under 212. Mustang Marc Sambol stormed back on the tournament's final day, carding a 6-under 66 to finish tied for ninth at even-par 216.

As a team, SMU finished fourth at 878, just two shots behind second-place Houston (876). Arkansas, which entered the event ranked 23rd, took team honors at 854. UA's Jamie Marshall took the individual title at 211.

After a tough 82 to open the event, SMU freshman Harry Higgs bounced back with a pair of 71s and finished tied for 29th at 224. Matt Schovee's 76 and 77 scored for SMU in rounds one and two, respectively, while Aaron Stewart's 76 counted in round three.
