Houston Indoor Invitational Results 
HOUSTON, Texas (SMU) --- Led by strong performances from Klara Bodinson and Simone Du Toit, the SMU track team participated in the Houston Indoor Invitational this weekend.
Bodinson earned a win for the Mustangs in the 3000 Meter Run. The sophomore led the field with a time of 9:46.56, which bested the next closest competitor by over eight seconds. The time exceeded Bodinson's previous personal best by over ten seconds.
Simone Du Toit, who earned Conference USA's Athlete of Week earlier this year, earned another victory in the Shot Put. Du Toit out-threw the competition by almost two meters to lead the field with a 17.49 meter throw. The mark is a personal best for the junior and is the second-longest throw in the nation this season.
In sprints, Amber Evans (24.66) and Isis Wilson (24.83) finished second and third in the 200 Meter Dash. In the 60 Yard Dash, Evans and Wilson each reached the finals finishing with times of 7.71 and 7.80 respectively. In the 400 Meter Dash, Alexandria Smith (57.59) finished seventh.
Lovisa Lindh and Mary Alenbratt each garnered top-five finishes in the 800 Meter Run. Lindh placed third with a time of 2:13.09 with Alenbratt following with a 2:14.11 run.
Viktoria Leks and Lisa Egarter placed fourth and fifth in the high jump for the Mustangs. Each of the athletes were able to clear 1.70 meters.
SMU in its next competition returns to Houston on Feb. 5 for the Houston All-Comers event.
