C-USA Indoor Championship Results 
HOUSTON (SMU) ---The SMU track and field team finished in fourth place in the Conference USA Indoor Championships this weekend. Following yesterday's win in the distance medley, the Mustangs continued with several top finishes in the final day of action at the University of Houston.
SMU earned fourth place, which is the best finish for the Mustangs since joining C-USA in 2006, with a total of 69 points. UCF won the event with a 123.5 score in the 17.5-event meet.
SMU athletes Lovisa Lindh and Simone Du Toit each earned victories in their individual events for the Mustangs. Lindh, who earned C-USA's Freshman of the Meet honor, took the 800 meter run with a 2:11.26 finish. The event marked Lindh's second win of the weekend after competing in yesterday's distance medley relay squad win.
Du Toit continued her dominate season with a decisive win in the shot put. The junior earned the top mark with a 16.84 meter throw, which distanced the competition by over two meters.
In the distance events, Mary Alenbratt placed third with a 4:53.29 finish in the one mile run. Sophomore Klara Bodinson tallied a 9:45.65 time in the 3000 meter run to finish sixth. Monika Korra (5000 meter) and Silje Fjortoft (one mile) each earned top-10 finishes in their respective events.
Junior Ayla Gill placed second in the weight throw with an 18.28 meter toss. Also in the throws, Helena Perez earned third place in the shot put with a 14.28 meter hurl.
Finishing in second in the pentathlon, Lisa Egarter displayed an impressive all-around performance. The sophomore placed second in three of the five events. In the individual high jump Egarter took seventh place, finishing behind teammate Viktoria Leks, who tied for third with a 1.72 meter jump.
The SMU track and field team kicked off the weekend with an impressive win in the distance medley relay on Friday night. The team, composed of Alenbratt (1200m) Egheosa Osawemwenze (400m), Lindh (800m) and Fjortoft (1600m), notched a school-record with an 11:37.87 finish, which bested second place by over 15 seconds.
