TCU Invitational Results 
FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU) --- The SMU track and field team kicked off the 2011 outdoor season with several athletes setting personal bests at the TCU Invitational this weekend.
Ayla Gill impressed with a 61.70 meter toss in the hammer throw. The mark topped the field by over ten meters and is a personal best. Also, the junior placed ninth with a 12.36 meter shot put.
Several of the SMU track athletes set personal highs this weekend in Fort Worth. Egheosa Osawemsenze posted a career-best 1:03.86 time in the 400 meter hurdles. Sophomore Mary Alenbratt also posted a personal-best 2:09.81 mark (second place) in the 800 meter run and sprinter Amber Evans narrowly missed a top-mark with an 11.75 run (fouth place) in the 100 meter.
The Mustangs placed two of the top three in the high jump with Viktoria Leks and Lisa Egarter notching the second and third spots respectively. Both Leks and Egarter posted 1.75 meter jumps. Valerie Lindenmuth followed by clearing 1.65 meters to capture seventh place.
Distance runners Silje Fjortoft and Klara Bodinson placed second and third respectively in the 1500 meter run. Fjortoft notched a 4:33.23 time and Bodinson followed with a 4:34.46 mark. Fellow runner Monika Korra posted fifth place with a 10:22.57 finish in the 3000 meter run.
